An empirical basis for expectation formation in the European crypto sector
The Crypto Expert Survey is a Europe-wide research project that establishes a high-quality empirical basis for academic research on expectation formation in the crypto sector. Under the academic leadership of Prof. Dr. David Florysiak (IU International University of Applied Sciences), it introduces a regular survey of crypto experts in different European countries.
The survey builds on established economic survey methods and adapts them to the specific features of the crypto industry and national settings. Local partner institutions recruit the panels and administer the survey, while IU centrally aggregates and harmonizes the data.

The indicators are made publicly available as aggregated European and country-specific measures.

Methodology
The methodology paper explains how CES surveys experts, validates responses, and constructs its published indices. Harmonized results are openly available on Harvard Dataverse.
